DIRECTOR

Dew Drops is a Montessori Preschool that serves as a home away from home for parents seeking safe and educational childcare services.

Managed by Ashanthi Perera, a career-long educator, this community-first project is focused on meeting the needs of children and parents in the growing Leander community with a small ratio of children.

Prior to this venture, Ashanthi has already made a significant and positive impact within the Leander community. With over 20 years of education experience, Ashanthi founded a Montessori school in 2008 and grew it to a capacity of 96 students while accumulating some of the highest rated reviews of a private education center in the area. Ashanthi holds a degree from the Association of Montessori International (AMI).

Going back to her roots with a small capacity and a new “home away from home” approach, Ashanthi is excited to meet and care for new families in Leander as they look for educational childcare services.

ASSISTANT TEACHER

Ann Pigera is an exceptional Montessori teacher known for her unwavering passion and dedication. With her Montessori certification credentials, her goal is to nurture each child’s natural desire for knowledge. Ann firmly believes that every child is a unique individual deserving of respect and encouragement, and she goes above and beyond to create fun and engaging activities that foster growth and learning. Her students thrive under her guidance and their happiness is her utmost priority.

Outside the classroom, Ann is a loving mother to two wonderful daughters, cherishing the time spent with them. She understands firsthand the joys and challenges of parenthood, deepening her empathy and understanding of children’s needs. Eager to continually enhance her teaching skills, Ann actively seeks new ways to expand her knowledge and stay updated with the latest educational practices.
